The emergence of Grids as platforms of high performance computing over the Internet raises many questions regarding the performance characterization of Grid infrastructures. The purpose of the work is the benchmarking of Armenian experimental scientific educational Grid segment [1] based on Armcluster [2] (64 nodes, 128 processors), State Engineering University of Armenia (4 nodes) and Yerevan State University clusters (2 nodes). The results allow to compare the performance Grid segment computing resources with other parallel systems, as well as to investigate performance and scalability properties of parallel systems under carefully tuned, benchmark-induced workloads that stress particular aspects of system performance. It is helpful for users to predict the estimate overall application performance on a given system. The Benchmark results available on the Grid segment administration site (http://www.cluster.am). Two kinds of benchmarks have been performed on Grid segment: worker node (Dual Xeon, Pentium IV, Sun Workstation) level benchmarking and site benchmarking.
